Only a Child – Animated Short Film

A Young Activist’s Speech at UN Summit in Rio in 1992

Over twenty Swiss animators collaborated on this short film under the direction of Simone Giampaolo. I was happy to be part of it and contribute a scene painted on glass.

Only a Child, Still Frame by Michaela Müller

Only a Child is a visual poem created by over twenty animation directors under the artistic supervision of Simone Giampaolo, which gives shape and colour to the original words spoken by Severn Suzuki at the UN Summit in Rio in 1992, a child’s desperate call to action for the future of our planet. With this omnibus film, through eloquent images and powerful animated allegories, the young animators scream their call through art.
